Confirm a quotation and choose the advance correctly
Turn the agreed quotation into one booking while distinguishing received money from money due later.
Step-by-step guideMarkdown for AI
Review before confirmation
The quotation page links to the existing booking when already converted. Follow that link rather than confirming the same job again.
- Open the quotation and verify client, event scope, services, total and current version.
- In Send & PDF, review the document the client saw; if a sent offer needs revision, use Edit to create a new draft rather than silently changing the sent version.
- Only use Confirm booking after the client agrees to the shown scope.
Choose the advance state
Do not choose Advance received merely because the client said they will pay. The remaining balance preview helps you check the figure before saving.
- Open Confirm booking and choose Advance payment.
- Choose No advance now when the job is agreed but nothing has been paid; it records no receipt.
- Choose Advance received only when money has actually arrived. Enter the amount, payment date, method and optional reference.
- Choose Advance due — collect later for a promised amount and due date; it does not create a received payment.
- Review the result, then choose Confirm booking or Confirm & record advance according to the selected mode.
Recover an interrupted confirmation
If the confirmation was started and the browser reports a problem, use Retry same confirmation. Closing the dialog can leave a saved booking with an unfinished payment, so check the booking and Money tab before trying a second conversion or receipt.
