Create folders and organize many files
Select multiple items, create nested folders, rename and move work safely.
Organize a library
A folder path helps organize files but does not grant client access. The studio must still use the proper gallery sharing workflow.
- Open Storage → My Drive for private studio folders, or Client work for project media.
- Create a folder in the current location; open it before creating a nested folder.
- Use the item actions menu to rename or move an item when those controls are available.
My Drive file actions
New folder creates a folder inside the current folder, so open the parent first when building nested folders. If a file seems missing after Move to folder, open the destination or clear search before uploading it again.
- Open the current folder and choose Upload to add images, videos, PDFs or other supported files; wait for the new tile before leaving.
- Open a file’s actions menu: Download retrieves it, Rename opens a name dialog, and Move to folder asks for a destination.
- Enter the intended name and choose Save, or choose Cancel to discard the rename.
- Use Delete only after checking the filename and the irreversible confirmation.
Move several files
Drag and drop is a convenience where supported; the Move action is the safer keyboard and touch alternative. Client-created arrangements and studio arrangements can be separate, so confirm whose view you are editing.
- Turn on multi-select or use each file checkbox in a file grid.
- Select the intended photos or videos, choose Move, and select the destination folder.
- Review the destination and confirm; then open it to check the files arrived.
Use the folder toolbar and delete safely
Removing a folder alone can leave its files in All files. Submitted client photo selections are protected. A download dialog offers Download ZIP or, on supported browsers, Save to folder; Cancel download stops an in-progress browser export without removing stored originals.
- Choose Select, then check individual files or folders; Check all visible files and Check all visible folders affect only the current visible set.
- Choose Share selected for just the checked items, Share folder for the open folder, or Share all at the top level where offered.
- Use Move to folder for checked files, or a folder’s Move folder action for that folder. Rename changes only its name.
- Before Delete selected, read the file and folder count. The separate checkbox to also permanently delete files inside selected folders is consequential; leave it off when those files should remain in All files.
- If a batch reports failures, use Retry remaining after reviewing the listed items.
