# Configure WhatsApp reminders and inspect failures

Control each reminder rule and review the queue or delivery log before retrying a message.

## Set a reminder rule

A rule needs a working sender, approved template and scheduler to send. The switch alone does not guarantee a message was delivered. Team preparation uses accepted crew and current shoot details.

1. Open Settings → WhatsApp → Automation.
2. In Automation Rules, find the trigger you intend to use; toggle Enable for that rule.
3. Where available, review Timing, Offset, Unit and Template. Team preparation has separate 10, 5, 2 and 1 day rules.
4. Choose Save on that rule and verify its state after reload.

## Review a queued or failed message

If a booking date, client number or balance changed, inspect the source record before retrying. A payment reminder should reflect the actual current balance, not the earlier message draft.

1. In the same Automation section, inspect the workflow queue and Recent WhatsApp Automations.
2. Use Refresh to get the latest provider or queue status.
3. Read the recipient, trigger, timing and failure reason before choosing Retry or Check & retry.
4. Use Cancel on a queued item only when that message should no longer be sent.
