# Read studio reports and trace the totals

Interpret bookings, revenue, conversion and expenses using their source records.

## Choose a period

Event-date booking counts and payment-date collections answer different questions. A quotation value is not collected revenue; an open enquiry is not a confirmed job.

1. Open Reports and set the date period.
2. Read the metric label and explanatory hint before comparing numbers.
3. Open a metric link to inspect its filtered source records.

## Investigate a discrepancy

Check date range, timezone, status and cancelled/voided records. Compare the source list before editing data. A receipt posted on a different date can legitimately appear in another report period.
