# Review notifications and activity history

Find a change, open its source and tell alerts from the record of work.

## Open notifications

Marking an alert read changes its notification state, not the source booking, payment or task. A notification is a pointer to a change, not necessarily the current source of truth.

1. Choose the bell icon or Notifications in Products.
2. Use Unread only or a type filter to find booking, payment, project, task or enquiry updates.
3. Choose Mark as read for an alert with no linked record, or open a linked alert to reach its source; both mark that item read.
4. Choose Mark all read from the notifications header or bell panel only when you have reviewed the remaining alerts.

## Review history

Open Activity for the studio-wide feed, or Timeline in a client, booking or project for that record. Check the actor and date before editing. A message or status event in history does not imply money was received or files were delivered.
