# Create a gallery and share it with a client

Choose the collection, access permissions and purpose before making a client link.

## Prepare the gallery

Studio production files and client gallery files serve different purposes. The client only sees content shared under the gallery access rules.

1. Open the project, then Gallery or Media.
2. Choose New gallery, give the collection a clear title and upload the intended photos or videos.
3. Check file count, preview quality, order and any private versus client-facing folders. Choose Review selection only after the client has returned picks.

## Choose why you are sharing

Download permission is separate from permission to select. Test the client link before promising a full-resolution download.

1. Before creating a selection link, choose whether the request is for editing photos or album photos.
2. Set the selection target, deadline and permissions for comments and downloads.
3. Use Share link, copy the private invitation or prepared message, and send it to the intended client.
