# Edit an enquiry and its event functions

Change contact, status, assignment and event scope without breaking a linked job.

## Edit the enquiry record

The edit form covers the enquiry name and contact, event details, source and priority, budget, status and assignment as applicable. A converted or lost status may be locked.

1. Open Enquiries and select the customer.
2. Open the top actions menu and choose Edit.
3. Update the fields you need, then Save. Reopen the page to confirm the saved values.

## Change functions or dates

For multi-event weddings, each function needs its own date and location when known. The summary event date is not a substitute for the function schedule.

1. In the enquiry detail, open the functions or event scope area.
2. Add a function, enable or disable it, or remove a mistaken function before booking.
3. When a booking is already linked, follow the related booking schedule instead of changing an old lead summary.

## Use conversion and reset controls carefully

Book without quotation opens the conversion flow when this enquiry has no linked quotation or booking; check the resulting booking before trying a second conversion. Reset to defaults in Wedding Functions asks for confirmation and replaces manually edited functions with the default schedule based on the enquiry event date. Save or copy the agreed custom dates before resetting.
