## Step 1 — Client

Use Existing client when the contact is already in your studio. If that person is not listed, choose Existing client not listed and enter required name and phone; email and city are optional. For a new prospect still deciding, the form points to Start an enquiry instead. The Retry clients control reloads the existing-client list if it fails.

## Step 2 — Event

Enter event type and date, then time, venue, city and notes when known. Add event creates another separate event under the same booking; Remove removes that extra event before saving. All events share the booking total and payments, while each gets its own project group. Wedding functions stay grouped within their wedding event and can have their own date, time and venue.

## Step 3 — Services

Start with a package copies its listed inclusions, services and price into the draft. Custom booking starts without a catalogue package. Review the included-service checkboxes and optional package name. Changing a service switches the booking to custom and clears the copied package promises, so record any custom deliverables in booking notes and check the total again.

## Step 4 — Amount

Enter the required Total amount. Advance amount is for money already received; when it is greater than zero, the chosen Payment method is recorded automatically with the booking. Leave it blank when nothing has been received, then record a later receipt in the booking Money tab.

## Step 5 — Review and save

Back returns to the previous step; Cancel or the close control leaves the wizard. Do not submit a second job merely because the first save took time.

1. Read the client, event schedule, services, total and advance in Summary.
2. Leave Confirm this booking now on for agreed work; it creates the project, invoice and tasks and queues the enabled client booking update. Turn it off only when the date is still tentative.
3. If a duplicate booking warning appears for the same client and date, inspect the listed job before choosing Create separate booking or Book anyway.
4. Choose Save booking and open the result. If downstream setup is incomplete, use the recovery action on that saved booking.
